School Site Council

The Washington School Site Council is composed of five parent representatives. The parents are representative of the various ethnic groups within our school. Staff representation includes the principal, one classified employee, and three teachers.

The Council is nominated and elected in the fall through a private ballot. The Council meets a minimum of eight times a year to review student achievement data, develop the Single Plan for School Achievement, ongoing review of program effectiveness, develop the budget and modify needs based on student performance.

The Washington School Site Council has proven to be a great opportunity for parent involvement and commitment to the ongoing improvement of our school. If you are interested in running for School Site Council, please see Ms. Dunville. Nomination forms will be sent home with your child during the first two weeks of school.
