Walking School Bus

Don't forget to join us once a month on the Friday of Spirit and Pride at 8:30am for our Walking School Bus. We meet at the North Del Mar fire station to walk to school as a group. Each student also receives a pencil reward.

ArtFest 2017

On Friday, April 21st, our students showcased their artistic and musical talents at the annual Washington ArtFest. Each grade level performed music on our outdoor stage and every student had artwork displayed on panels in the cafeteria. Throughout the evening students and their families also enjoyed various art activities. Click on the title above for more information and photos.

SEF Gift Card Gathering Event

The San Gabriel Educational Foundation is having a gift card gathering party at the San Gabriel Hilton on Friday, March 23rd.Have a great evening with friends! Tickets are $10. We ask each guest to bring a gift card worth at least $20 that will be used in our silent auction a SEF-A-Palooza on May 19th.

SEF needs your support to continue pay for Music Center performances and provide funding for 1st-3rd grade art instruction.

The Gift Card Gathering Party is from 6:30-9:30 pm. Dress: Business casual. Contact Adela Angiuli at 626-451-5465for tickets.

5th Grade "American Revolution" Musical

Recently our 5th graders performed a musical about the American Revolution. Students sang songs that told the history of the American Revolution for an audience of parents and community members. Special thanks to the Assistance League of Arcadia for providing us with a grant to purchase the costumes!

4th Grade "Going West" Musical

At the end of the year our 4th graders performed the musical "Going West." for our students and parents. It was an exciting way for our students to learn about California history. Click the title above for photos.

Washington Selected for 2016 California Honor Roll

On behalf of our entire school community I want to say congratulations to you and your kids! Our school was chosen by Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE) as a 2016 California Honor Roll recipient! Walk-a-thon for the Arts

On April 14th all of our students participated in our PTA annual Walk-a-thon for the arts to raise money for our art program. All students walked or ran for 20 minutes and have been collected pledges and donations. If we raise $6,000 the top three pledge earners will get to throw pies in Mr. Perry's face.

Founder's Day

On February 28th our PTA celebrated our wonderful volunteers at our annual Founder's Day. The Washington Boy Scout Troop led us off with the flag salute. Our 5th grade music appreciation choir sang and danced to two songs followed by our 4th grade recorders who performed four songs. After the student performances the PTA presented several of our staff members and parents with appreciation awards for their hard work and dedication to our students and programs.

Parent Information Night

Please join us for Parent Information Night on August 31st. The PTA meeting begins at 6:45pm and the classroom presentations are from 7:00-8:00. Don't forget that Friday, September 1st is a minimum day dismissal for all students at 1:30.
